Oh, right. Clever. Somebody should document things like this. Is it documented in the GObject manual? I’ll search for it.

You don’t have to store the superclass method pointers yourself. Just get the un-overridden class structure for the parent class:

SomeClass *parent_class = g_type_class_peek_parent (this_class);
parent_class->method (…);
