And in case you didn’t know: Females are working on Tinymail!
Igalians are rocking the planet! Sergio is telling us a true story about Antia Puentes. Antia is a girl who writes code in C. And not only that, she also created UML class diagrams and contributes code to the Tinymail project. After Tinne, who helped me a lot with some parts of the documentation, Antia is the second female to contribute to the project.
In case people wonder why I have been so silent about the project yet huge amounts of awesome changes and commits have been happening: well, we are very busy making things totally rock. Both debugging and improving things, as adding features. Since a few days it’s possible to start fetching not-yet retrieved messages while you are receiving the summary of a folder. This is really interesting on GPRS networks, as downloading the summary takes enough time to irritate you: you can in the meantime decide to let Tinymail already retrieve one of the messages of which the summary info has been received already.
Among the benefits of an Outlook Exchange server is that you can access email anywhere in the world where you have internet access. You can do your own email hosting to have complete control but for those who just want business email without dealing with all the hassle many Exchange email outsourcing programs are available online to choose from.
