Livio, please. Mono is blazing fast, there are many good benchmarks about it. Also, if you would have read more of the blogs you would have noticed couple posts by Miguel about it. There have been couple weak spots, couple of them were fixed in development already, and rest likely will as fast as they get actually reported. In the end it’s fast enough for almost everything.
Yep, it sure is. It’s the perfect balance between low level C and higher OO, or was it the other way around :) Anyway, it’s becoming more than just a toy!
